As you wash your dishes, reflect on the privilege of having running water, hot and cold.
Focus on the flow of water and how wonderful it is. Give thanks for clean water and the physical ability to complete your task. You may wish to appreciate the food you ate on those dishes and those who shared the meal with you. Do not rush. Stay present, move slowly and deliberately through washing the dishes. Feel the gratitude from deep within. When you finish, reflect on what you have experienced. Journal your thoughts.
